The 3DaySofDesign exhibition was held in Copenhagen in June!
I am already excited about the interior design trends we will see in 2025.
Although we saw countless impressive things in the exhibition, there were some pieces that stood out and will surely make their presence felt over the next year. So I would like to gather them in 4 important trends and analyze them in this article.
Everything in silver
We have already talked about how the last year chrome has gained the position of the most popular metal in the article The largest Scandinavian trends of 2024 that you need to know. In 2025, however, it is foreseen that interior design companies will take silver to the next level.
Specifically in 3daysofdesign we saw the silver, Eilersen leather sofa, accompanied by pillows and stools with a mirror finish. Other companies and designers used silver in more conventional ways such as shelves and steel libraries, combining them with industrial details.
Zebra and animal print
We haven't talked enough about Animal Print, but I think if it is properly used, it can be the dynamic change you are looking for in your space.
Zebra print seems to be in the spotlight in 2025. We see many interior design companies use it in increasingly intense ways. We no longer stay in the small details of animal print, but we introduce it dramatically into our space! From curtains, to sofas and even tables.
We also slowly seeing other animal prints stand out as well, such as Leopard Print combined with bright and bold colors. What do you think, is time for a little experimentation?
Mint with burgundy
Color in a home is a very personal thing. No matter the trends, in the end we will choose what works for us. But when I see a color combination in the foreground I have to mention it, as it will affect the presence of these colors in decorating shops next year.
I'm talking about the combination of the delicate blue-green tones of mint, with the deep dark reds and purples. Many companies in 3daysofDesign have chosen to combine these shades into furniture, decor and walls. So we see dramatic examples such as the interaction between burgundy flooring and mint walls, but also more discreet cases such as light green-blue curtains with intense burgundy chairs. Finally, I have to say that Mint was used alone also, in curtains, chairs, lamps and more.
I am looking forward to seeing all the mint decor items and furniture that I am sure will be released soon!
Wood and more wood
Wood is back! And it returned in a variety of forms.
In the exhibition I saw several elements reminiscent of the 60s, 70s and 80s, that have a strong creativity, such as interesting curves, light wood, sloping feet on furniture.
But on the other hand, I also saw several wooden elements that adopt the Japandi trend, with a minimalistic aesthetic, simple, clean lines and shapes.
Of course as a fan of Scandinavian decoration, I am excited about the presence of wood in natural tones and I am ready to explore all the different ways to use it!
I'll continue to keep my eyes open and bring you all the upcoming trends in Hintsdeco!
