An integral element in interior decoration is the lighting.
The right lighting is the detail that will bring your decor together.
Many times this important part is neglected, either because it has not been taken into account before the construction, or because our place of residence is rented and we don't know how to manage it.
Regardless of the current trends, you should bear in mind that when we place lamps in our home, apart from a central lamp on the roof, many smaller additional light sources are needed, in different corners of the space.

HINT: lighting in interior decoration
The main ceiling lamp is used primarily when there is a need for a lot of light, otherwise we use the additional lights.
Be sure to have many different types of lamps, table, wall, ceiling and floor. This creates a good mixture of different types of lighting and at the same time a variety in the final decorative expression of your home.

Also combine simple, classic fixtures along with bold designs, colorful or sculptural pieces of fixtures, that will catch the eye.
Finally remember to place lamps on unconventional spots to create an element of surprise at home. For example on a small shelf, over a cupboard, in the kitchen pass etc.

With all of the above in mind, let's look at the hottest trends of 2022. The choices are bold and more impressive than any other time.
Handmade ceiling lamps
It is known that our society time with time shows a much greater interest in handmade products.
The general feeling is that we all want the things we buy for our home to make more sense. To be handmade, to know more information about the manufacturer that we can pass to the next generation. It is important to realise that each object has an important life cycle.
So the handmade ceiling lights will be a favorite trend from now on. By buying a handmade lamp we support the artisans and add warmth and 'soul' to the decoration.
Materials such as wood, paper, banana skin, mushrooms, mango and many more sustainable materials can now be found in many handmade lamps.

Oversized ceiling fixtures
The big impressive chandeliers become the ultimate center of attention and will renew your space decoration in a minute.
With the term chandelier your mind should not go only to the glass drops that reflect light. The new chandeliers are fashionable and elegant. They match with concrete, with wood and rough surfaces, giving out glamour and style. The large ceiling lamps no longer belong only in a foyer, in a large entrance or a luxurious living room.
If you make the right choice, they can become the focal point in every house style.

Fixtures with an Asian aura
Lamps inspired by traditional Japanese or Chinese lamps harmoniously combine geometric shapes and natural materials.
Bamboo, Japanese paper, fabric and wood in combination with bright colors will give Harmony, serene light and originality to any decoration.

Floor lamps with marble and metal
The floor lamps will be thin, elegant, with a light look and metallic or marble finishes. If they combine both materials then it is the ultimate trend.
These fixtures have the ability of really highlighting a space and that is they are becoming popular lately.

Scandi chic fixtures
Bring 'hygge' vibes to your home with Scandinavian design lighting shapes and finishes. Scandinavian style will be largely on trend next year. As I had mentioned in a previous post “6 things I learned from my Danish friends"Scandinavians are obsessed with lighting, because they think it has a direct relationship to their well-being.
The minimalist approach of their designs will be showcased mainly in table lamps and ceiling lamps.
Look for fixtures with simple shapes but with particular colors or fixtures with brass finishes and white orbs of opaline or transparent glass. The sure thing is that your place will acquire a sweet warm and playful atmosphere.

New Art Deco designs
The truth is that in the last decade Art Deco has never gone out of fashion.
But this year the design of the lamps with Art Deco references have a more minimal look, less shine and are distinguished by Fine Art Deco details from the 1930s. The Art Deco movement also provides endless sources of inspiration, from shapes, materials and colors and has every reason to adapt to new times and new styles. Sconces in every room
The trend of wall fixtures is constantly increasing. In the kitchen next to the sink to emphasize the workbench, in the hallways to emit a soft light or illuminate works of art, in the bathroom, in the bedrooms, next to sofas or armchairs and wherever you need to save floor space or decorate a wall, think about using a beautiful sconce.
And for everyone who rents a house, feel free to use sconces that do not need electrical installation, but light up with a simple power plug that goes into the outlet or with a battery. The result will impress you!

Return of Chrome
I left this trend in the end as a surprise, since in the last 5 years we have been increasingly seeking to incorporate gold into our decoration.
Golden metal has experienced a huge rise, but it's probably time for the Chrome back to be in the front of the stage.
We see shiny or brushed silver metal projected onto fixtures and various accessorie.
Keep in mind that Chrome is coming!!
