Inspired by the characteristic use of animals in images in Danish Modernism from the 1940s to the 1960s, the Bull lamp got its name from lampshades resembling a bull made of opal glass, providing a smooth diffusion of light and a distinctive expression. The body consists of a raw gray marble base with an arm of oxidized aluminum covered in cognac leather and an upper part of oxidized aluminum that contrasts beautifully with the light, semi-transparent glass. This delicate interplay of materials makes the Bull lamp much more than a simple light source.
