As a reference to the Japanese sport of Sumo, all jars are bulky in size and shape, relying on narrow pointed legs. All vessels have different openings from traditional narrow vessels, up to double openings and deep carved openings. The Sumo collection examines the contrast between well -known vascular shapes and the addition of more artistic, abstract ideas and details, questioning our individual perceptions of the shape of a vessel.
