As we are well into the year 2021, many of us may feel the need to make some changes. Maybe you have spent the past few days looking for inspiration for these changes in the new IKEA catalog. I also browsed the catalog of 2021. If you are not sure what to pick from the countless possibilities, I have the solution for you. In this article, you’ll find my favourite products and some hints on how to use them in your home decor!
Before delving into all the unique options I have for you, it is worth pointing out two statements mentioned by IKEA in the message that accompanies the new catalog.
The 2021 catalog stands out for two reasons. First of all, it has been 70 years since the first IKEA catalog. Regardless of the subjective opinion of the individual consumer regarding the store, the historical significance of these catalogs is unquestionable. They reflect the style of their time and therefore the desires, the aesthetic and the needs of people over the years.
The second point that differentiates this year's catalog is the statement of IKEA that they commit to reduce the printed material they produce and to have their catalog mainly online. It’s important when a company as well known as IKEA recognizes and openly declares that it wants to take a responsible stance on a global problem. We can only applaud this choice!
Let's move on to the main topic. You will find below, my selection of products from the IKEA 2021 Catalog, always according to the aesthetic of Hintsdeco!

I can’t express enough how much I love the new MISTERHULT bamboo table lamp. The model B2002 is following IKEA's statement on reducing their environmental footprint, since it works as a way of utilizing the plant, to the greatest extent possible. As stated in the catalog, the table lamp consists of parts of bamboo, which would otherwise have been discarded. Price: € 29.99
hint: The soft, warm lighting provided by the MISTERHULT is ideal for parts of the house where you want to create a relaxing atmosphere. Place it next to your bed, as an alternative to the conventional bedside table lamp.
Since this product is handmade, the one differs from the other. These little details make some items stand out.
As a bonus, in case you loved it as much as I did, there is a corresponding pendant lamp with code 904.410.18. Always handmade and unique.
You’ve probably realized by now that I love interesting lighting options. The floor lamp base, SKAFTET in the model G1903 with its curved shape, is easy to use in any space. You can of course add the lampshade of your choice. But this white RINGSTA fabric lampshade is my suggestion. Price: € 49.99
hint: If you want to save space, you can hide the lamp base behind your sofa.
A different amazing option for a table lamp is the SIMRISHAMN model B20003. The lamp choices of this series look great on their own, but also in combination with each other. If you are a fan of smart and functional storage, you probably already know the IVAR series. One of the oldest series of IKEA systems. I suggest you search for the IVAR products on the store’s website and find the combination that suits your space best. But I have to bring your attention to the new cabinet of the series, in gray metal. It immediately gives your space a touch of industrial style. Price € 99.00 / cabinet
In addition to its unique industrial look, this cabinet is ideal for anyone who needs a spacious and durable storage system.
Another well-known series of IKEA systems is the ENHET, for kitchens. This one, with a kitchen counter, cabinets and open shelves, caught my attention immediately! Unfortunately, (as mentioned in the catalog) the system shown is not yet available in Greece. I hope we can try it soon! Some systems that are similar to this are the ENHET products with codes 493.374.49, 793.380.46, 693.380.99 and 893.379.18.
