Six unique, inspirational brands at the Maison et Objet trade show

Following my visit to the international Μaison et Objet trade fair, I returned bristling with novelties about design, furniture and products that I would love to share with you.
One of the largest exhibitions in the world boasting more than 3,000 international exhibitors, Maison et Objet is, undeniably, an infinite source of knowledge and inspiration.

This post features some of the products I explored that were most impressive.

iota is an international luxury brand creating fabulous rugs, poufs, stools and home accessories.
Their products are entirely hand knit, made of excellent quality materials and using bold colour pallets.
They can create perfectly personalised pieces in the dimensions and colours of your choice.
An iota brand item will definitely add a touch of signature style to every space.

Bornn has mastered the art of designer table enamelware.
The company was established in 2015 by two sisters of Turkish origins, who grew up in Tokyo, Barcelona and Los Angeles.
Their contact with various cultures inspired them to create all these sophisticated table works of art.
Using traditional artisanal techniques, they produce one-of-a-kind, handmade items with a modern twist.
Their enamelware is created using a glass coating, chemically fused onto steel at high temperatures.
During the manufacturing process, it is pure coincidence paired with each craft artist ’s skill that play the ultimate role in the creation of each design.

I singled out the Chalet Affair brand for its modern furniture and homeware design, drawing on classic materials and yearlong experience.
Its collaboration with young designers has allowed the company to combine its knowledge and premium quality with fresh, modern ideas and décor suggestions.
Their products can cater to all individual design needs as they can be made-to-measure upon request.

The M’A-T-IL DIT brand creates unique designer items, all manufactured and processed at a family-run workshop in France.
The originality and inventiveness of the designs positively captivated my attention and admiration.
A stool like this is certain not to go unnoticed!

Among the most crowded stalls at the exhibition was none other than that of the Guaxs company.
By no means a random choice, of course, since the magnificent vases, lamps and decorative objects they create never fail to impress.
They are handmade glass objects, manufactured by expert craftsmen of outstanding skill and experience.
Placed on a table, one such piece alone is sure to catch everybody’s eye.

Last but not least, it would be impossible not to make mention of my favourite Feather lamp by the British brand A Modern Grand Tour.
It is a highly original illuminating palm tree, adorned with sublime ostrich feather foliage.
Its compelling presence definitely evokes the ambience of luxurious Hollywood settings in any room.
